Who We Are »

Get to Know Us:

We are a church of Christian believers who desire to be what God has called us to be.

Through the study of the Bible, prayer, and trust in God's lead, we believe He has called us to be sold out followers of Jesus' teaching and example of self-sacrifice.

This is reflected in our purpose statement: We exist to equip people to expand the Kingdom of God. Secondly, we think God has given us a specific role in Ottawa County, Ohio to engage in worship through contemporary music and teaching methods as well as examining the Bible to interpret how relevant its truths are for all generations.

You can get to know us by reading our core values:

Biblical Authority
We yield to the entire Bible as our supreme authority for life.

Faith Community
We gather to share our lives for the purpose of support, accountability, and to grow in the image of Christ.

Gift-Driven Ministry
We believe God has created each person with special gifts. We encourage the discover of your spiritual gifts to serve God.

Discipleship
We believe in purposeful teaching of the Word of God to produce mature and dedicated followers of Jesus Christ.

Worship
We strive to daily to honor God with our lives and gather to celebrate and glorify Him.

Strong Families
We believe strong families must be built on a foundation of Christian faith and values.

Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer by humbly coming before God with requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving, knowing this pleases Him.

Evangelism
We build personal relationships with those outside the church to gently and respectfully demonstrate the power of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Get to Know Jesus
There are so many views on who Jesus was and who he himself claimed to be. But Jesus makes some statements that bring total clarity as to who he was and is today:

"I am the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him." John 14:6-7

"Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him, but I know him because I am from him and he sent me." John 7:28b-29

"I am the resurrection and the life.  The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." John 11:25-26

However, the knowledge of Jesus as one's personal savior starts with accepting the truth about him, but grows in personal relationship with Jesus as one's Lord. Jesus wants to transform our lives from the inside out, and he has provided a way to do that by dying on the cross and defeating death by resurrecting to life that lasts forever. Jesus maintains his presence with us on earth through the Holy Spirit who God sent to those who put the trust of this life in God's one and only Son.
